Homes designed for first-time buyers

Are you living at home or currently renting privately and looking to step onto the property ladder?

With central London house values and increasing mortgage rates, it can feel like an uphill battle to get onto the property ladder today. There are however some great options available to first-time buyers looking to find a place to call their own.

Shared Ownership is an affordable housing scheme designed to help first-time buyers by part owning a home which allows you to buy with a much smaller deposit than on the open market.

Homes designed for wheelchair users

We build great homes in places where people want to live, and we want this offer to be available to as many people as possible. We therefore are committed to delivering wheelchair-adaptable homes in a number of our Shared Ownership developments. They are designed to allow residents to make alterations to meet their mobility needs easily.

Key design features to create a wheelchair-adaptable home include:

✔ Wider doors and hallways to allow wheelchair users to move freely

✔ Bathrooms that can be turned into wet rooms for wheelchair users to use independently

✔ Additional space has been included within bedrooms and living areas to allow for a potential wheelchair user

Homes designed for people looking to buy on their own

Are you looking to buy a home without a partner or friend? It may feel like a challenge to buy a home on a single income, but Shared Ownership makes it possible!

Shared Ownership is a more affordable way to get onto the property ladder by buying a share of the home (usually 25% initially) and paying a subsidised rent on the part you don't own. This means that the monthly outgoings are often less than renting privately and also means you need a smaller deposit than buying on the open market.

We have a number of studio and 1-bedroom apartments for those looking to buy on their own and seeking a place just for them!

"We really wanted to stay in London and buying through Shared Ownership was the best way to make this happen. Everyone at Peabody New Homes was so helpful and very efficient, guiding us through each stage of the processes. From my initial phone call, they managed to book me an appointment for the following week. I was so impressed with the quality of the homes here."
